Modular operating theatre solutions ModuleCo is the UK’s leading provider of modular operating theatre suites built using off-site construction methods. Used by both NHS and private healthcare providers, they offer much needed additional surgical capacity for either permanent or temporary requirements. We supply modular operating theatre suites on a turnkey basis with minimal disruption to the existing hospital.

		We provide state-of-the-art, modular operating theatre suites for any surgical need in all medical fields, including ophthalmology, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurology and oncology. Our operating theatres are of a high quality and can be available for use in as little as 10 weeks from order.

We offer three main types of modular operating theatre: general surgery operating theatre orthopaedic operating theatre (includes ultra-clean laminar flow system) ophthalmic operating theatre (available with concrete floor and ceiling or floor mounted microscopes)

Using our expertise in off-site construction and vast experience in the provision of modular healthcare facilities, we offer two standard modular designs of operating theatre suites: Single modular operating theatre and Twin modular operating theatre. Both designs include operating room/s, anaesthetic room, scrub area/s, preparation room/s, dirty utility area/s and are normally supplied with a roof-mounted plant room.

		Bespoke designs, incorporating your specific requirements, can also be provided. Our experienced team is able to design a modular operating theatre that not only meets your requirements, but also offers you the benefits of off-site construction. This includes significantly reduced construction times and increased site utilisation.

Modular operating theatres can be provided as a stand-alone healthcare building, linked into an existing hospital, or as a part of a larger modular medical facility e.g. a day surgery centre. Our operating theatres are designed in accordance with HBN26 and HTM2025, comply with UK Building Regulations and are fit for purpose in terms of facility life cycles. We also provide modular units that can be used in combination with traditional construction.
